We are a professional institution specializing in training for youth and amateur adults in badminton. All of our coaches have extensive teaching experience and athletic backgrounds, enabling them to design highly effective, personalized training plans tailored to each student’s individual needs.

Our Founder

Yee Theng Lim

Founder & Head Coach

Yee is the founder and head coach of Paragon Badminton Academy in Toronto, dedicated to developing players from grassroots to elite levels. A former Malaysian National Team player with over 15 years of international coaching experience, she holds BWF Level 1 and NCCP Level 3 certifications.

Her coaching career spans Malaysia, the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, where she has trained athletes from beginners to Olympians — including Mexican Olympic player Victoria Montero. Since founding Paragon in 2017, Yee has produced numerous national and international champions, with her players excelling at the Pan Am Junior Nationals, Yonex U23 Nationals, and Ontario High Performance Championships.

As a player, Yee captured multiple international titles across Asia and North America, including the Canada National Championships and Proton National Circuit Grand Prix Finals.

Fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese Hokkien, and Malay, she is known for her leadership, communication, and ability to inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
